Washington Seems To Win Its Eight Consecutive Game

It seems that Ryan Zimmerman has become a lucky mascot for the Washington Nationals. Since his inclusion in the team, the Nationals have managed to win all four games and all six since he started batting at eighth slot.

Just two more wins and the Nationals will have reached a .500 record this late in the year for the first time since that inaugural season.

Well, the scene was not the same most games during April and May as the team struggled to score even four runs, added Manager Jim Riggleman, “We had no chance earlier in the year”.

California's Coastal Agency Denies U2 Guitarist Edge Mansions over Malibu

The U2 guitarist The Edge, originally named as David Evans, has finally lost a long running battle with the California's coastal development agency over property rights. As per reports, the well known guitarist has been pressing to build five mansions overlooking Malibu, Calif., which has been rejected by the officials.

The commission was said to have voted 8-4 to turn down the well talked about 156-acre project in Malibu on Thursday, referring it as a potential threat to the environment of the locality.

Jerry Brown Vetoes New Budget

On Wednesday, California lawmakers passed a new budget that helped in overcoming the state's $9.6 billion shortfall with suspect accounting plans and revenue raisers that violate the state constitution

The new budget was rejected by Jerry Brown of Democratic Government and he said that he will continue to negotiate with Republicans. Mr. Brown wants Republicans lawmakers to put a five-year extension of the state's two-year temporary income, sales and vehicle tax hikes on a special election ballot.

Paul Ryan Counter Attacks New Medicare Plans

House Budget Chairman, Paul Ryan could be seen in a new TV ad released today, counterattacking the new Medicare plans. In the ad, Mr. Ryan says, “Washington has not been honest with you about Medicare”.

The ad demonstrates that Ryan’s plan would not affect seniors, who are currently receiving Medicare or those 10 years away from retirement. It focuses on people who are under the age of 55, at present.

Apple Approved As Bidder in Nortel Patents Deal

California Lawmakers Approve Budget Plan, Republicans Oppose

It’s believed that the war for California's budget plan is not going to end soon. Though California lawmakers’ nod to the main bills of the budget plan on Wednesday, to cut out $9.6 billion deficit, it won’t be easy for the Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown to get an approval from the Republicans.

Though a handful of Republicans opposed the new plan produced by Mr. Brown, two-third majority for opposing the bill, as per a constitutional change approved by voters last November, could not be achieved.

Pandora Media Prices IPO At $16 Per Share

$512M Prison Hospital Contract Given to Two Firms

Many were waiting for the final results and the announcements of the state officials regarding the $512 million contract of the main portion of a new prison medical facility in Stockton, which has finally been awarded to a joint venture of Clark Construction Group of Bethesda, Md., and McCarthy Building Cos. of St. Louis on Tuesday.

The California Health Care Facility, Stockton will be operational from 2013 and according to the estimations done, the project will cost more than $900 million to provide long-term care to 1,722 mentally and physically ill state prisoners.

Reports revealed that LulzSec targeted many gaming companies like Minecraft and Eve Online. On the other hand, an anonymous has vowed that he would be targeting the Federal Reserve Chairperson, Ben Bernanke.

Hacker group LulzSec claimed that it took the website for CCP Games’ EVE Online as well as Minecraft and Escapist Magazine.

The group also targeted network monitoring firm FinFisher "because apparently they sell monitoring software to the government or some s**t like that", LulzSec tweeted.

According to the new report, it was revealed that Apple’s Airport Utility application has the references of the 4th generation Time Capsule and 5th generation AirPort Extreme devices.

MacRumours and 9to5 Mac have confirmed that the software updates contained references to the fourth-fifth generation of Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme respectively.

The Airport Utility update also contain references of the update being stored on the devices but MacRumours have claimed that it is not a new development and that it is the old version in a new format.

Rangers Bench Andrus for His Energy-Less Performance

Rangers’ Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Twins at Target Field really upset many in Washington and in the list was also the Texas Rangers Manager Ron Washington, who was majorly upset with the poor performance Andrus, who ended up with two major errors in the game. Shortstop Elvis Andrus wasn't also happy with two plays that he didn't make in the seventh inning of 6-1 loss under which the two errors that he ended up with were: he's batting .275 so far this season, seven points above his career average. He's hit three homers and driven in 28 runs.
