Paul Ryan Counter Attacks New Medicare Plans

House Budget Chairman, Paul Ryan could be seen in a new TV ad released today, counterattacking the new Medicare plans. In the ad, Mr. Ryan says, “Washington has not been honest with you about Medicare”.

The ad demonstrates that Ryan’s plan would not affect seniors, who are currently receiving Medicare or those 10 years away from retirement. It focuses on people who are under the age of 55, at present.

The ad will be aired nationally on cable TV and statewide on broadcast stations in Florida and Ohio for the next 10 to 14 days. The designer of the ad, 60 Plus Association is spending $1.4 million on the ad.

Mr. Ryan believes that democrats are affecting the safety net for senior citizens that have been provided by the federal government since long. He said that if the governments will not do anything about the Medicare system, the spending will nearly double over the next decade and will drain out its remaining funds.

Jim Martin, Chairman of the 60 Plus Association, the conservative advocacy group behind the ad said that it’s the time to put the Medicare strategies to an end. He further added that the Democrats and Obama are destroying Medicare.
