Illegal immigrants

As the California Assembly assented to the ‘Dream Act’, unlawful immigrants will now be able to receive monetary assistance for further studies in colleges. The piece of law is awaiting the sanction of the Governor which is seen as not much of an obstacle since the Governor himself endorses such projects.

But this is also expected to add to the heat of the ongoing debate about grating rights to the illegitimate entrants in the country.

While AB 130 is supposed to facilitate aid for a minor portion of the community which can seek assistance from the classified contributions and benefits, a similar provision AB 131 is awaiting approval.

The latter provision will aid them in seeking Cal aids and supplementary public grants. The 51-21 vote in the assembly for AB 130 is being viewed as a momentous vote as it brings the students of that community a lot more closely to their dreams. Champions of this bill have strongly condemned sayings that immigrants don’t have rights though it has also been rightly observed that this bill is granting them only right to aid for education and not nationality.
