Yesterday the streets of Washington were overcrowded. The reason for this gathering was the spring 2011 Arts and Music Festival. Many thousands of visitors enjoyed this festival.

There was many dozens of the vendors lined in the queue with their stalls. There were the stalls of barbecue to ice-cream sandwiches, from handmade jewellery to painted portraits.

Hilda Batlle, a Hoboken resident has said that this was a great event, and they visit every year.

On the other hand many people complained about this most of the locals complain about it because the city gets crowded and messy, apart from this there is a great fun in this festival.

From the morning the people started visiting the Hoboken Arts and Music Festival which opened at 11 a. m. and continued till 6 p. m. The shoppers were crowding booths which were located along Washington Street to Observer Highway and Seventh Street.

The festival had separate "Kids Zone" on Third Street with vendors selling children's related items like clothing and offering the opportunity to hop, slide, roll, or run on inflatable surfaces.

There was a performance given by the family rock band The Fuzzy Lemons.
