Cuts in Medicare and Medicaid necessary in US: McConnell
Though the Republicans in US congress firmly consider that government can make sizeable reductions in the budget deficit without increasing the tax rates, a great part of the international investors clearly believe in the contrary.
On the other hand, McConnel has sought Obama, President of United States to make the important alterations in the program regarding Medicare as desired by the former in return of which McConnell agreed to remove restrictions on the government credits.
The changes included stricter requisites for eligibility and decreased profits keeping in mind the fact that Medicaid and Medicare will now be leading the borrowing sector and McConnell also emphasized that he did not wish for a contentious bill by the government which would result in privatizing the beneficial health care scheme for the older generation of the population.
Though he persistently maintained that he was talking on his own behalf only, it is commonly known how he has come to become a prominent law-making dealer from the time the Republicans took control of the House. He also mentioned that the debt-limit discussion would be the apt occasion for the various parties to work collectively and do something beneficial for the nation since individually none of the parties stand to gain anything from the debate.
