Washington State preps for federal health care law
On Wednesday Gov. Chris Gregoire has approved several proposals so as to prepare the state for President Barack Obama's health care patch up, while this is challenged by the Washington's attorney general the law in court.
The new bills which are recently approved are planned with the aim to create a state health insurance exchange. After this the Washington will be in fourth rank in the nation to prepare such a system.
It is expected that Obama's health care law will have exchanges operating by 2014. The federal government will create one for states who never follows such system.
Gregoire has said that they have taken such steps to help to have reformation in the nation's health care system. Moreover she has condemned Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna for testing the federal law's constitutionality.
McKenna is considered as a leading candidate for governor in coming year has signed on to a legal challenge in Florida. The argument is over the federal law's mandate requiring individuals to buy health insurance or pay a fine which is illegal.
