On Thursday, World’s No. 1 mobile phone manufacturing company, Nokia announced that its Chief Technology Officer, Richard Green had taken a leave of absence for unspecified time and will be replaced by the head of company’s research center.

She further added that Mr. Green will be replaced by Henry Tirri, Head of the Nokia Research Center, and it have no impact on the product strategies or launches of the company.

A Finnish newspaper has reported that Mr. Green was unlikely to return because of some disagreements over strategy. Nokia is still the leading producer of cellphones across the globe, but the company is losing its market share to Apple’s iPhone, the BlackBerry smart phones and devices using Google’s free Android software.

Nokia has also announced that its sales in the second quarter of the financial year would be lower than forecast because of harsh economic conditions in China and Europe
