Republicans Claim Democrats Plan on ‘Destroying’ Medicare

The debate of Medicare in the US is a continuous fight that always heats up political parties. The Republicans decided to turn the tables and have accused Democrats of seeking to destroy Medicare.

A recent ad by the National Republican Campaign Committee, states that Democrats are seeking to “decimate” Medicare. A call by the NRCC states: “Washington Democrats already cut $500 billion from Medicare with their government takeover of health care, and [insert name of Democrat X] is making it worse”.

Earlier, Republicans voiced that Democrats had ‘no plans’ for Medicare, however now they are stating that the plans for Democrats is to ruin Medicare which will lead to massive cuts in benefits.

In an editorial from USA Today, it expressed how the Republics killed the Democrats over the debate on health care and used “every half-truth fear mongering trick in the book to score political points”.

Health Care is Washington’s biggest fiscal problem they are currently dealing with. Democrats are accused that the ‘Democrat plan’ will bankrupt Medicare of cut benefits by 17%.

Both political parties are doing whatever they can for the public to take their side for Medicare plans. However it may be best for the public to turn the television off whenever an ad for Medicare comes on.
