California Authorities Carried Out Red Zone Mission at Central Valley

On Wednesday, authorities of California have arrested 100 people who are suspected of being involved in a gang. It has been told that the suspected gang members were arrested near agricultural Central Valley.

In order to catch gang members, authorities of California initiated a “Red Zone” mission. The mission was aimed at two main gangs Nuestra Familia and Norteños. It has been told that Nuestra Familia is an -American prison-based gang that operates in detention facilities across the state and Norteños often acts as the Familia’s street-level arm.

The California’s authority is of the opinion that the arrest will ensure safety to innocent people who often become victim of such gangs. The mission Red Zone was run for a several months but on Wednesday it proved successful. Although raids were conducted in more than 50 locations in two Central Valley counties, there has been news of gang activities in suburban areas.

It has been told that during the raid at Central Valley, police found large amounts of narcotics, firearms and cash. Moreover, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and five assault rifles was also seized from the place. The suspected gang members have been arrest on the charges of assault, mayhem, gun possession and attempted murder.
